Ι have been working on several topics related to the S-Training project. My research related to the S-Training project focuses on Bayesian inference and Modelling, Bayesian Variable/Feature selection Methods (both on MCMC model search algorithms and objective prior specification). Part of my research is also related with categorical data analysis, graphical models, medical statistics and psychometrics.
Concerning Sports related implementation, I have been working on developing innovative models for football prediction, Volleyball analytics (both in predictive/descriptive models and methods for performance analysis), measures of competitive balance for football, water polo analytics and lately on analysis of basketball data.
From 2015, we have founded the AUEB Sports Analytics group (with Professor D. Karlis) with aim to develop innovative quantitative methodology for Sports and bring together the Sports analytics community in Greece and in South Europe (https://aueb-analytics.wixsite.com/sports).
