Milica Maricic works at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Department of operational research and statistics since 2015. She obtained her PhD in 2019. Her research interests are composite indicators, data-driven ranking methods and approaches, structural equation modelling and the application of these methods in various fields.
Her achievements include the best paper award on the Young Scholars for Better Statistics competition organized by the IAOS (International Association for Official Statistics) and OECD on the conference “Better statistics for better lives” in Paris in 2018.
She is the representative of the IAOS in the Young ISI working group of the ISI (Interational Statistical Institute). She has authored/co-authored several scientific articles in international journals and monograph, and also, she participated to several international conferences.
She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the field of statistics and applied business statistics, providing examples related to Sport Analytics. She is currently working with one PhD student.
Within sport analytics, her research interests include the analysis of the efficiency of sport sponsorship and ranking of athletes. Among others, he has contributed to sport analytics research via the following actions:
She is member of the Special Interest Group on Sport Statistics of the International Statistical Institute, of the BDSports group
She participated on an invited paper session on statistics in sport at the ASA conference in Brescia in 2019.
